Junior DA Academy

The San Diego County District Attorney's Office is excited to announce the return of our program for local High School students called the Junior District Attorney Academy that will be held this Summer in 2026!

A weeklong program running from Monday, July 27th, through Thursday, July 30th, 2026, students will come to the downtown San Diego County DA's office each day for several hours. Students will get an opportunity to shadow real prosecutors and learn about the criminal justice system.

Students should be prepared to observe court hearings, gain insight into real cases, meet judges, and interact with law enforcement and other justice professionals. This exciting fast-paced program will introduce students to the ins and outs of the legal and criminal justice professions and provide them with a unique opportunity to meet other like-minded students and make a difference in our community!

This program is open to incoming 9th through 12th grade students, as well as recently graduated students in the County of San Diego.

Please note that due to an overwhelming response for this program, we quickly reached capacity and are no longer accepting application for the 2026-Summer program.
