San Diego County District Attorney

The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office is excited to announce a new program for local High School students called the Junior District Attorney Academy that will be held this Summer in 2025!

A weeklong program running from July 28 - 31, 2025, students will come to the downtown San Diego County DA’s office each day for several hours. There, with their peers, students will get an opportunity to shadow real prosecutors and learn about the criminal justice system.

Students should be prepared to observe court hearings, gain insight into real cases, meet judges, and interact with law enforcement and other justice professionals. This exciting, fast-paced program will introduce students to the ins and outs of the legal and criminal justice professions and provide them with a unique opportunity to meet other like-minded students and make a difference in our community!

This program is open to incoming 10th through 12th grade students, as well as recently graduated students, in the County of San Diego.

Applications are due Wednesday, June 25, 2025 by 5pm. Seats are limited and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis!
