Misuse and abuse of prescription drugs in San Diego County continues to be a growing problem. The majority of prescription related overdose deaths are unintentional. The District Attorney’s Office is committed to working with our County and community partners to educate the public about the dangers of opioids in particular, prevent abuse of prescription drugs, and hold those accountable who would put our community at risk by illegally selling these drugs.
