How to Find Sex Offenders in Your Neighborhood

Megan's Law offers Californians a way to protect their families from serious sex offenders who may be living in their neighborhoods. The law, passed in 1996, permits public access to certain information about the location of convicted sex offenders. Megan's Law also allows law enforcement to notify Californians about serious and high-risk sex offenders who have established themselves in the community.
